I decided to take a decent break from LingQ because it’s not currently in my learning focus. I kept the vacation mode to save my files at $2 per month. However, I looked just now at my settings and it says that at the next payment later this month it is going to set my plan to free. Is this true? Will I lose all my files then? How would I make this specifically not happen and have everything instead just continue the way it is?

No worries, your account is on an active Vacation plan and will remain on it. You can ignore the message you see in the settings, we will check that.
