Is it possible to prevent a person’s name or a specific place name from being identified as a new word? thank you

Click “ignore”.
(A post must be at least 20 characters, therefore this sentence in brackets.)

This is a good question, I usually ignore them, unless the name is also a word that’s actively used in the language, such as Basma, which is a girl’s name in Arabic, but also means “smile”. I only started doing this after a few months of having used LingQ, so many of the names in the Mini Stories may have switched to “known” rather than “ignored”, but I tend always to ignore them going forward.

Appreciate it. Thanks a lot.

However, given the LingQ “feature” of converting blue words, including names, to Known behind the user’s back, as well as occasional bugs in incrementing Known Words, what difference does it make?
