Only some M4A files import

Hi - I found a podcast where some episodes appear to be very useful for me. They are distributed as M4A files. Only some of them import into lingq, the rest give the message:

The file you uploaded was not an audio file in supported format.

I wasn’t sure if you did (or didn’t) support m4a, but was happy to see the prompt:

### Drag and drop your file here

Supported formats: .mp3, .m4a

So, I spent some minutes and discovered that the M4A’s the are identified by Windows 11 as 127 or 128 kbps always import, and the files identified as 63 or 64 kbps never import.

Is this a (fixable) bug of some sort?

Thanks,
…Mark

Convert them.

(Some nonsense text due to the 20 character minimum)

I suggest you use available online converters (https://online-audio-converter.com/).

Thanks - I used Audacity, and will install FFmpeg later.
Seems to me that the prompt for supported formats is inaccurate though.

Supported formats: .mp3, .m4a

We do support .m4a format too, but this sounds like some sort of issue related to that specific file. In cases like that, converting to mp3 should help.
