One of the books I’ve been using for my German studies is a book called “English grammar for students of German”, published by Olivia Hill.
It’s extremely short and goes over all the fine points of grammar.
It definitely is a bit overwhelming for an absolute beginner to just look through, but as Steve always recommends, use the book as a reference.
And like the Dover Essential Grammar series he recommended in his last video, this one is also really short, which is great.
I’ve only checked out the German one, but I’m sure the other ones are great too. They have similar books for Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, etc.
