I got the hashtag from YouTube imports everytime there was music or singing in the video. So in front of every sung sentence there is the #. Iām not sure if itās done by YouTube or if the video creator marked the transcript as āmusicā.
@zorbital @zoran @irynalingq2025 I think I finally figured this out. The problem may be to do with HTML markup being copied from the original source by copy and paste. To avoid this the user should always paste as plain text (Ctrl + Shift + V on windows). This should paste without the HTML markup which is causing the inserted ā#ā problem. Not sure how easy or worthwhile it would be for LingQ to make this a non-issue completely. Perhaps a coder could take a quick look at it.
If youāve got pesky #ās that stubbornly refuse removal you can print the lesson, copy and paste the text into an editor and delete the #ās without causing any issues. Then regenerate the lesson and paste your new text in.

When you are pasting always paste as plain text. You might not get the hashes again. If you do then the problem is something else.
