Hi All,

In the president elect victory speech-part 1 there is the following comment “a collection of Red States and Blue States” and I have curiosity about what do Red and Blue States means?

I think that perharps Obama is talking about Democrat and Republican states.

Yes, you are exactly right. Red states generally vote Republican, blue states generally vote Democrat.

And sorry for my late thanks to you, this week has been really busy for me.

In Spain happens something similar but they’re just a difference, here we have left party and right party, left party is equal to Democrat and right party is equal to Republican and as you mention in your message here there are areas where people historically vote left party or right party even if the politicians don’t do thing well, you know it’s like a tradition.
