When reading German content in the iOS app, I do not have access to the English dictionaries for translation, only German. In other words, I can only look up German words in German dictionaries — immersive I suppose, but not always what I want. In the browser I can translate German words and phrases into English, so the issue appears to be limited to the iOS app.
In the app go to settings (if not within a lesson), then click Lesson Settings. Go down to “Dictionary Languages” and make sure you have English as the top one. (and if not applicable to you, get rid of anything else).
If you are in a lesson already. Click the 3 dot menu. Go to “settings”. Then go to the bottom where “Dictionary Languages” and make sure English is the top one.
You can get to this on the web too…Click your avatar in top right. Click settings. Click “Reader”. Then go to dictionary languages and make sure English is on top.
If English already is on top, then will have to defer to Lingq support.
Yes, as @ericb100 mentioned, it sounds like you have German selected both as your study and dictionary language. Go to settings and switch your dictionary language to English.
