I can’t import anything, whenever i try to import a video, this message pops up.
Is it just for now? How can i solve it?

Importing was working for me in Spanish an hour ago, but when I switched to French just now I got the same error message that you’re seeing. I tried manually selecting the auto-generated French captions and importing again. This time it gave me a different error - “Error: file: Importing failed - ‘NoneType’ object has no attribute ‘iterfind’“
Sorry to hear. What browser/extension are you using?
Google Chrome , I’ve tried lots of videos
In English, French, Italian and German
I can’t import anything, always the same thing
Tested French imports on two Chromium-based browsers: Chrome and Brave, as well as on Firefox. Got the same pair of errors on all three.
Tested Spanish again, and importing worked perfectly. Weird.
Getting the same problem, Really frustrating as on season 3 of a series: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUy1O8k4TA8&list=PLHWAe4rFdBzxrT18hMg0_6Kt0iksHnGho
I’m using chrome and tried the youtube app same problem
O wonder if somebody is managing to import anything.
Whenever I try it, I’m still getting the same thing ![]()
Importing data from iPhone and iPad works normally.
I logged into the Edge browser, and then the Chrome login failed. I went back to the Chrome browser to log into the LingQ plugin and website, and its YouTube import function worked normally again.
I was watching a random French video on YouTube using the Chrome browser maybe 18 hours ago. The person had a great speaking style so just for the heck of it I tried importing it into LingQ and it worked. I tried again just now on Chrome and it worked again. So I tried with a different French video on Brave just now and got error messages again. (I do all my language stuff on Brave, so I can keep a separate set of bookmarks, etc. It’s essentially the same as using a different iteration of Chrome.)
I’m getting a new (to me) computer next week that will run the latest version of Windows and the latest versions of the various browsers. Hopefully that will help. I may try switching this very old computer to Linux and the latest browser versions for that OS, to see if that will work with LingQ.
I’m going to try logging out of LingQ on this browser (Brave) and logging back in, to see if that helps.
EDIT - OK, I tried logging out and logging back into LingQ on this browser and it didn’t fix anything. I’ll try using Chrome instead for importing and hopefully it will continue working there.
Hi everyone, we identified the issue and our team is working on it. We expect to push a fix soon.
Thanks @zoran. It’s been working normally for me for the last 24 hours or so, but I didn’t test it exhaustively.
