New Tool Finds - Flashcard Apps, AI Features, Extension

Just a quick shoutout for some stuff I’ve found to use alongside LingQ

Flashcard apps using ai have really sprung up. Many are now automatically generating cool images, audio, examples sentences, etc

Flexi flashcards might be best at this but it’s only for iOS unfortunately, not on Android

For android, Vocabuo and Karteto are newcomers that are working on this aand have a lot of promise, still coming along though.

I’m using Vocably.pro which is a browser extension that instantly adds translation for you, example sentence, optional tags, and then can be found on app stores or just opened up on the phone browser. Free, fast, simple, lightweight, not super overloaded with stuff so I’m rolling with that for now. Can also import/export which is sorely lacking from most flashcard apps these days. It feels like a good natural extension of lingq because all you have to do is highlight the word and then click add and boom, done.

Honestly my tried and true flashcard app is still Flashcards Deluxe. I’ve always hated anki. Not a fan of LingQ’s flashcard tool, wish they would put more effort into that.

For watching stuff on phone outside of lingq and on the go, Miraa is great as it uses ai whisper too, free version works well enough for short videos. Has explanation feature which is very helpful.

Keep an eye on Lenguia, new tool, a lot to update but it’s very interesting,

LanguaTalk ai tutoring is the most dialed in I’ve found.

That’s it, check em out, enjoy

Very cool list. Thanks for sharing.
Also check out Lexirise.app (kind of like LingQ but with comics/webtoons). Also a new tool but quite fun to use.
