So I had a look again and the option to turn off the merging of definitions is actually there, but it is in the pop up settings. Just as well I went there to check because it is not obvious to find. The option to deactivate contextual hints is definitely gone now. Not sure whether it’s a bug or intended behaviour (I suspect the latter is true), so I will wait to hear back from Zoran on this.
I think they said they wanted the contextual hints by default, without the settings.
One think I don’t understand is why the iOS LingQ app is the only one I have that doesn’t update straight away like the others. Sometimes I need to go to the App Store to check if there is a new update, and click on the app to see it. Weird!
@SeoulMate I checked with our developers. The setting is gone, but contextual hints are there by default. However, we will be bringing the setting back for the next version.
