I saw Frankenstein on Netflix recommended to me in Spanish. I’m using the latest extension and latest version of Chrome on macbook, but this is reproduced on my Windows 11 PC as well.
When imported, the lesson actually only has some of the beginning of the full 2.5 hour movie.
A few days ago I tried to import the first episode of Casa de Papel and had a similar issue where it generated a single lesson that only had two pages of content, no where NEAR the full episode.
How is Netflix import supposed to work? I also expected to have a video player to watch (like YouTube imports), but maybe that’s a limitation from Netflix on embedding content?
When importing from Netflix, you get subtitles only. We are not allowed to grab and import audio or video.
Regarding the missing subtitles after importing, I asked our team to investigate this further. Thanks for reporting.
Hello @WeiseGuy There are few Frankenstein movies on Netflix, I tried this one and it was imported successfully with all subtitles in Spanish. Was it the one that you had tried? Could you please reload the page with Netflix show and try again?
That’s the one I tried (though I see two lessons in yours with different amounts of words, but same description, title, and thumbnail, so I’m not sure why you have two? )
I just tried again and it seems to have worked this time around. Very strange, thank you for the double check. I guess I just needed to try it a second time?
