Multiple problems today. You might want to consider rolling back any changes in the last 13 hours or so. Windows/chrome.
same for some reason its not moving forward in my lesson. It moves forward at the top bar but the page stays on the same text
I had the same problem. It appeared to be that this lesson had been imported to the database as paragraphs only. No sentences. You can see this if you edit the lesson. For the lesson I looked at, it seemed to think that paragraph 80 was the end of the lesson and the reader behaved accordingly. Not paging past this point, even though there was more text.
I had same problems on Mac/Chrome…but was able to read in the app. Hopefully it’s back tomorrow.
Yesterday, I honestly started to wonder if I was losing my mind because the lesson text refused to advance to the next page, despite the progress indicator at the top bar clearly showing it was moving forward! My only option to complete it was by switching to sentence mode, which was an absolutely dreadful experience. The audio wouldn’t synchronize correctly, and I really don’t want to be forced to go through an entire text sentence by sentence just to finish it.
Same for me, they must have bricked this build.
Sorry about that, everyone, we are looking into this.
this problem still persists unfortunately.
What script are you referring to?
You can expand the section. I meant this one LingQ Web Extension (Customizable Layout, GPT, AI-TTS, or so)
I’m not referring to your script. I am talking about reading interface of LingQ. It is riddled with bugs now. I will wait.
This is just terrible. Now i now that every app has issues, but on this scale, it’s pretty much unheard of. Everytime Lingq runs updates or touches anything, the website/app ends up broken. Now there are so many bugs to take care of that it takes them forever to fix anything. I purchased a Lifetime subscription for one language back in 2019, which is just as well because I don’t think I would be paying for a monthly premium sub now. I really feel that it is moving backwards more than anything.
I’m experiencing the same issue.
I like LingQ and want to see Steve’s vision succeed. I feel for the developers and support folks; I imagine it sucks maintaining a ramshackle codebase.
…but I can’t overlook the fact that right now LingQ is an e-reader which can’t turn the page.
LingQ’s reliability issues area really, really frustrating. My sister is starting French and I can’t recommend LingQ to her. I’m a lifetime subscriber and even still I’m tempted to leave the platform. My 341-day streak died today.
I’m surprised their isn’t more backlash. This has been going on for a long time, it’s very discouraging.
Part of the problem appears to be inadequate testing of changes prior to live release.
Well it sure isn’t tracking my lesson history today.
honestly i am starting to think the same. I just want something that actually works at this point reliably. Im tired of bugs making the app unusable every month or 2 if feels like
I think just as frustrating as not being able to do my usual work is the lack of feedback. Zoran posted they’ll look into it a few days ago but since then I have seen nothing. I may be totally wrong and have just missed it in which case I apologise. But when something major is not working for a long period of time a proper announcement to everybody would be appreciated rather than a quick reply to a post. Just keep people fully informed and they won’t get so frustrated.
We pushed a fix for the mentioned issues. Can you please let me know if you are still experiencing any problems?
