Hi. I occationally come across sentences that seem to miss a word – in this case a verb.
“J’ai pensé que j’avais peutêtre été vers le nord à la place”.
The LingQ app translates it to: “I thought maybe I had gone north instead”.
I would translate it to: I thought that maybe I had been north instead".
“Was going” seems to be missing…
