An In-app shortcut for sentence mode next+translation+audio is my top request.
I was on a flight recently and tried to use multiple languages on the app and it didn’t work well. It would be nice to download more lessons reliably.
There is a call for more grammar above and more AI.
Please focus on comprehensible input and things that support that (very lmited need for grammar but interesting material at various levels is important). To me this is software for people who like comprehensible input and that’s where you are different.

My sense if that you have a decent audience that is loyal, values you software and would advocate for you. Ask them/ us.
Competitor are bad at comprehensible input. Some issues aside, you’re great at it. And we’d like the improvements we’ve mentioned.
I’d advocate for you more if the new customer didn’t ahve to reprogram hardware to get comprehensible input to work properly (decent shortcuts / buttons please).

We recognize that comprehensible input is our core feature and we have improvements coming there. What app are you having issues with? Also, what shortcuts are you looking for besides the one mentioned above.
Is there a way to get rid of the 60 LingQs per minute limit?

It’s easy to reach if you are lingqing whole books for reading and don’t want to spend ages doing it. (Books ranging from 20k to 100k words each.) Even if you consider the declining word frequency it’s a huge time factor.
You want to create more than one LingQ per second? So, you don’t actually look at meanings as you create LingQs, you create LingQs as fast as possible and then spend time with words in a second pass? Just trying to understand your use case.

I am just reading through some comments here and I literally cannot imagine how one can create more than 60 LingQs in a minute… As a dedicated German learner, I know that I need to analyze which meaning to choose, ask AI for some sample sentences or simply use my own discretion to shape the definition to my liking… I think it is seriously impossible to create even 30, let alone 60, LingQs in a minute…

That’s exactly my approach.
Especially if I’m not a beginner in a language it doesn’t make sense for me to “inspect” every word in detail in the first pass.
(And mostly the meaning is correct. Pareto principle to save time.)

Even better would be two buttons and shortcuts to be able to do variations of this.
In Greek, I want all three steps above and then may want it to repeat the sentence with audio and translation as well as increase the word count for the repeated sentence.
Shortcuts allow and external keyboard to be used and the physical nature is great. They are technically difficult and frustrating to set up so I can’t recommend them and thus lingq to many people. Shortcuts could gain you advocates.
I think you could do the job with a simple userscript.
I’m testing if I can use a userscript in a mobile browser now. Since the LingQ app has a really bad UX.
If things go well, I will consider adding the feature you want to my script.

Part of the challenge is is using it on android. Streamdeck, autokeys and Now I see your method work on. a desktop PC.
I like my e-ink reader and fitting in language time is easier if it is all mobile.

Are you saying you just turn every blue word into a LingQ with the default meaning? You then adjust, make known, ignore in a second pass? Perhaps we should add an option to just do this with one button - ie. “LingQ All New Words”.
It is great to hear you are willing to support power users.
This request is a variation of what you already do.
●a shortcut key for keyboard users (new, not used. simple. alt+…)
●add a button to do the same thing
●execute next sentence
●execute audio (natural [a] rather than s [tts])
●show translation
You then have a shot at getting users who want to read Harry Potter rather than donDuolingo.
Making a second would be ideal but a bit harder (to repeat or leave out the translation for easier texts or user preferences).
