Can anyone recommend Spanish novels which are already available on Lingq? I’m just about to reach Intermediate 1 (At 7540 known words). I have my content set to Intermediate 1-Intermediate 2. I like to find content with between 7%-15% unknown words.
I feel like there are not nearly as many books available already. When I go through the books section some of them aren’t even books but are videos. And some only have 2 or 3 lessons…I would like to not have to import all my own books if others have already been doing that. Or am I not understanding how they get shared? Or maybe I’m not searching correctly?
I have no idea what copyright laws might be involved with uploading a novel that can LEGALLY be shared with those who have not purchased the novel, but I avoid it. Maybe someone from LingQ would be willing to clarify that.
On the other hand, the only way I use LingQ is to upload and read books I have purchased for my own use. The process is so simple, it’s not worth risking the legality of sharing the books. There are many dozens of Spanish novels available on Kindle. I have imported several from Paolo Coelho (Spanish editions), Isabelle Allende, and half a dozen others with no difficulty.
Most Spanish novels that are out of copyright and therefore legal to upload and share will be written in an older style. Similar to reading Arthur Conan Doyle in English.
As ejackson said, best to buy books that interest you and upload those to work on yourself.
