A few years ago i remember you were able to listen to YT video audio on your phone in the background using lingQ, which was very nice but i understand why they removed that feature.
My question is, is it possible to still do that if you have YT premium? For those who don’t know, YT premium has a feature to where you can listen to YT audio in the background so would that mean that it would also work while using lingQ mobile if i had a subscription to YT premium?
On PC this is not much of an issue but it is on mobile when i want to listen to Youtube audio on the go. I know i could just rip the audio but that’s too much of a hassle
Hey i know this is a little late but i just subscribed to youtube premium and i noticed that its not possible to listen to YouTube videos through lingq with your phone locked or though background play. It only works on the YouTube app. I feel like this should be possible since it was in the past so it seems like the capability is there for sure.
If it is supposed to work, im thinking maybe the issue is that lingq doesn’t know that im signed in to YouTube? When i click on the YouTube logo when watching a video on LingQ it does take me to my app where i am signed in but im thinking inside of lingq you are not actually signed in to an account.
Yes i could just use YouTube itself but i would like my coins and logged time without having to do it manually and i think others would really love this because its very helpful being able to re listen to Content from YT on the go without having to rip the audio yourself.
