Take “harry potter and methods of rationality”)
I love this reading, it is fanfic and the caption says what it is about.
It is quite complicated I guess and interesting. No worries, you can lookup any words in seconds so shouldn’t be a problem. Currently reading it in Italian (a2 or near as well)
Good question to ask AI
Check out below article. A lot of useful links are for buying graded readers. Reading Simple English Wikipedia is also a good idea.
The Simplified English Wikipedia recommended by [asad100101]'s antimoon link looks quite good.
In grade school I was reading the Tom Swift (Science Fiction), Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew (Mystery) series. Those may be found on the internet such as:
Series: Tom Swift

If I may suggest something perhaps outside of your requirements… Read books you already know and love in your native language which you can find translated into English. Though nothing really difficult.
Such books may be beyond A2, but with LingQ you can still hack your way through. The advantages:
(1) You will be more motivated to read something you love.
(2) You will already understand much from your previous reading.
This worked for me in French.
The Harry Potter series would be a good start.
True, this is a list for @CLDavid from AI.

TIPS FOR READING AT A2 LEVEL
Read Regularly: Set aside time each day to read, even if it’s just for a few minutes.
Use a Dictionary: Keep a dictionary handy to look up new words, but try to understand the context first.
Take Notes: Write down new vocabulary and phrases to review later.
Discuss What You Read: Talk about the books with friends or in a reading group to reinforce what you’ve learned.
Enjoy the Story: Focus on enjoying the story rather than understanding every single word.
These books are designed to be accessible to A2 level readers, with simpler vocabulary and sentence structures, making them perfect for improving your English while enjoying compelling stories. Happy reading!
On my level! I’m enjoying “The Original Chicken Soup for the Soul”… short stories. A great book: enlightening (my opinion…)
I thought that was a good idea when I was around A1/A2, so that was what I read after “The Little Prince” in French. However…
The first Harry Potter is quite long. It took me five months to read with LingQ. I was determined to get through it and I learned a lot, but it was a slog. Rowling is a great storyteller, but she is not a particularly good writer. Her sentences are often long and rambling.
I read Hemingway’s “A Moveable Feast” next and I was surprised that it was an easier, more satisfying read. He writes clearly and often in short direct sentences.
Perhaps Hemingway’s “The Old Man and the Sea” would be a good book too. It’s a simple compelling story, often recommended to high school students, with simpler prose, as I recall, than “A Moveable Feast.”
Harry Potter is very definitely not A2 level.
It’s written for children who are native speakers of English and not at an A2 level.
Penguin graded readers are a better bet!
I have started with one Tom Swift story, called “Tom’s big day out”, and I am so happy. 50 minutes of reading and I can understand the context perfectly.
Also, I found the audiobook I can improve my listening too. The level is perfect becouse I can understand the most words.
Thank you, everyone!!
