LinqQ-Extension on Chrome causes trouble on Netflix

Hi everyone

For some time now (maybe two or three weeks), the LingQ extension on Chrome has been causing trouble with Netflix: when the extension is activated, I can no longer use the Netflix video controls. I have updated the browser, restarted the computer, disabled other extensions, nothing has worked. However, if I deactivate the LinqQ extension and reload Netflix, the controls work again. If I turn the LingQ extension back on and reload Netflix, I have problems with the video controls again.

Does anyone else have the same problem?

I just tested on my end and can’t seem to reproduce the problem. Even with LingQ extension enabled, Netflix videos still work just fine. What controls exactly aren’t responsive on your end?

Hi Zoran

Thank you for your reply. When I turn on the LingQ-Extension, then the title disappears and those two controls aren’t working anymore. The rest seems to work fine.

When I turn the extension of then it looks like this:

Maybe some further information will be helpful:
I use Chome Version 136.0.7103.114 (64-Bit) on Windows 10, and the LingQ-Importer Version 2.3.24

I’ll test it on another Browser and on another Computer, maybe it’s my “old” system

@8nznmq9pxk Thank you. We will investigate that.

We will soon release an update to browser extension that will include a fix for this. Make sure to update the extension to version 2.3.25 as soon as it’s available.

I’ve updated to 2.3.25 Chrome ext. I’m getting “file empty” when I try to import a youtube video in Italian.

@CTaylor The fix I mentioned was for Netlix importing. YouTube importing is broken due to changes made on YT’s end and our developers are working on finding a way to deal with those changes. We hope to have a solution soon.
