For the last few days, my lingqs are not being saved reliably, This happens mostly with hyphenated words. Sometimes I enter a lingq repeatedly, but it is not saved. Sometimes it is saved on one page or sentence, but then the same hyphenated word appears as a new word on subsequent pages or sentences. When I go into the Vocabulary page, my lingq is there, but my definition does not appear when I click the word while reading.
Is this a known issue? Is there a way to force the lingqs to be saved?
have you noticed if the lesson’s progress had been saved when you advanced on it? On the top green bar?
Because in the last few days I’ve noticed that the my lessons weren’t saved half way through. Not even going back and forward again. But they were saved when clicking the end lesson button at the end. However, I didn’t check if the lingqs were saved. I didn’t bother.
@Timmins Are you on the web or app version?
I’m using Chrome on Windows 11. It seems davideroccato may be correct. The problem may be that lesson progress is not being saved.
My numbers havent been saving. I mean when a numeral shows up say 123, I like to translate it to my target language. When i come back its not saved.
you also cant save numbers if they are next a symbol like a comma hyphen etc.
It’s all because of this hyphenated words becoming one word change that they made for some reason, that nobody was asking for, and that has only resulted in negative outcomes. Please change it back.
I don’t know if the problems are related or they are two separate problems. But I constantly have these top bars gray now, or half gray. Both on iOS, and web app!
Or, when I click the last tick for finishing the lesson, the lesson doesn’t close and doesn’t complete, and probably doesn’t record the last page.
I would say this problem appeared only in the last 3-4 days.
oh, yes, I encountered a problem with an hyphenated word, but I just skipped it because I didn’t have time. Before was doing just fine, we could have two separated words, or create a lingq, right? What happens now?
Maybe this change created a bug too?
Yea, before they were separate words you could lingq individually or select both if you wanted to lingq them together… Worked just great. Now they have made it so it is impossible to lingq the words separately, and introduced bugs that are affecting everything, including lingqing the new single word hyphenated word mess they created. So you can’t even lingq them at all now. Again, all for a change that no one was asking for, and that isn’t needed. Very frustrating.
We will have this sorted out.
