LingQs loose their color

From time to time I encounter LingQs I created which have lost their yellow color. And that does not mean I moved them to the “known” category. They just loose their color I don’t know why. Their saved translation is still there nevertheless. Is it a known issue? I encountered it on my Android device, I don’t know whether the issue appears elsewhere.

Usually, LingQs retain their color. Only exception are phrases which are…inconsistent to say the least especially on phones. Try other highlight modes out.

What do you mean by “inconsistent”? And which other highlight modes?

Inconsistent in the sense that phrases can also display yellow colors when known etc. The reader has it few share of issues but I believe it isn’t too bad. Well, LingQ has a number of highlighting modes depending on if you use a light/dark theme.

The standard way is the one you are used to.
Underlined underlines instead of highlighting and the foreground color is a different take on the standard theme where it is also more clear if words inside a LingQed phrase have been LingQed. If you use dark mode, I can only recommend it to you.

But the LingQs I mentioned were not inside a LingQed phrase.

I get it. If you know which kinds of LingQs are like this, we might find an answer.

OK, so the next time I encounter such one, what kind of information would you need?

Colours aren’t clear on a Boox black and white android machine. It would be great to be able to change them to specific shades of grey. But I turned on the option where they appear below the sentence and that works OK.
