As the title says, I have problems importing with the extension. I only tried youtube so far, but I can rarely open the extension, and thus I can’t import anything anymore. Earlier today I managed to import 1 video, but now with the second video, the extension won’t open again.
I am using edge browser, and the latest version. This is througout different languages.
Hope you can fix this fast, as youtube is my main source for audio and text.

Sorry to hear that. Are you saying that you are unable to launch the extension? Can you give it another try now, please?
I just did, and yes it’s still not working. I gave it the necessary rights, and it says “can access page” but when I click on the extension it wont start. What makes me wonder is, that the extension icon is also dark, I can barely see it. Btw I already deinstalled and reinstalled, but it still didn’t change a thing. I resort to copying links and using the import option on my mobile phone instead, which works out. Still the extension would be more convenient. (I just tried with a blog, same thing, so it’s not just youtube, unfortunately)
What browser/extension are you using? We can’t seem to reproduce the issue on our end.
I’m using edge browser with windows 11 .
The extension was the one from the store that pops up when you click extensions in the browser. The microsoft webstore or what it’s called.
Should I try to install via google play store instead?
No, Edge extension can’t be installed from Google Play; it needs to go through extensions for Edge. Can you check and make sure that you have the latest Edge browser version installed?
Yes, I do have the latest update, and I saw that the google extension wasn’t installlable.
I use the one from the microsoft store. Reinstalled it once more and imported some text. This once worked out, don’t know for how long. Everytime I reinstall, I get one or two imports, then it wont open.
Also there was another update for my browser yesterday evening, so once I get the chance to check it out, I will get back to you
Update: my browser had an update yesterday, I tried to import a podcast just now, but I still am unable to open the extension. It just doesn’t react.
If I uninstall/ reinstall I can import one thing, afterwards it’s the same problem: the extension doesn’t open. Even though it says: LingQ can access this page.
Do you have any other extensions installed on the same browser?
Yes I do have a dictionary for chinese, but that is switched off if I don’t use it, notion and diigo.
Thanks for the additional information. We will investigate and try to figure out what’s going on. Do you have any other browser you can use in the meantime? The extension is also available for Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
Update: Seems to work now. I imported 3 videos this morning, and no glitches. I only tried youtube so far, but I hope it keeps working.
