LingQ has recently updated its AI prompt options for splitting Japanese words, which is brilliant. Using these prompts, I’ve been able to split words exactly as I want, and the results have been excellent! Although there are still a few errors with some words, the majority are split correctly.

Keep compound nouns intact as single vocabulary units. Only split and isolate grammatical particles, markers, and auxiliary verbs from the nouns and verbs.
