When importing, how do I force line breaks or paragraph breaks? Especially the quick import function tends to squash the article summary, title, and text into one big blob, which is harder to read.

If the quick import doesn’t keep the text format, you should be able to fix it manually on the edit lesson page. Is it not working for you?
No, it was really persistent in ignoring line breaks. I think I managed to fix it by inserting some full stops (over … or paragaph breaks as in the original), which seems to be more important in determining how it shows up.
