I have tried to find out an explanation on liking a lesson. When I watch a video and like it, I see the option to “like the lesson”. I would assume that liking the lesson would indicate to the creator that he did good and to thank them. It would also indicate to other learners that the lesson has a lot of likes and is one to consider.
Instead, I get a threatening message that liking the private lesson will share it with others. I find this confusing. For example, I watch a lot of excellent lessons, from [evgueny40]. I did not create the lessons, they were already there. I want to give the guy credit by it being a good lesson but am afraid to.
I get the idea that if I import a lesson and share it the message may make sense but not for existing content. Is the warning only for lessons imported by the user liking the video?
Second, For any lawyers on here. Is it ok to share a lesson generated by a random YouTube link? Is there a legal issue with this? If it were, virtually none of the content on here would be legal. I assume sharing purchased courses is a no-no (but I see plenty of them). Granted they are old and some are discontinued like Cortina. If we find a public YouTube link with some Youtuber reading a book, import it and share it? I would assume yes as publicly available.
