I am a little bit confused. Could you, please, explaine?
Suppose I say, “How much time I would like to have when starting a new project at work?” Does this mean “how much time I’d like to have from the moment I become aware about the project till I start” or «how much time I’d like to have from the start of the project till the end of one”?
The question should be written “How much time would I like to have when starting a new project at work?”
Even then it still sounds weird. (Sounds like you are confirming that this is what someone asked.)
In this context, it means how much time you would like to have from the start of the project to the end of the project.
If you wanted to mean from the time you became aware of the project until you started the project, you could say “How much time would I like to prepare for a new project at work?”
Again, it sounds like you’re confirming a question that someone asked you.
I get it.
Thank you very much.
