Latest android update breaks dictionary management

On the update from yesterday, it changed the ordering I had for the dictionaries. Also, when you go to manage the dictionaries to fix it, you can’t move any of them around. It only scrolls. Like the “move individual” is to close to the scrolling part of the screen or something.

This is on a pixel 8 and android 16, if it matters.

edit: Although ordering isn’t fixed, it does seem I’m allowed to manage/move the dictionaries around now. Not sure if that was a server side fix, or my fingers are less swollen as the day goes on =). It still feels very tricky to move the dictionaries around and I often end up just scrolling, so if that can be made to work a little better for people with large fingers or smaller phones that might be nice.

Thanks, we will investigate this.

The translations are not shown in the Android app more than a month. Two recent updates did not fix it. It is especially critical for languages which are not very popular on LingQ. I mean the words which do not have user LingQs yet. The google translation appear never. It is OK in the browser version.
One more thing in the Android app: the “Know” and “Delete” buttons may disappear if a word is too long like in German.

@Ress Thanks Ress, I will check with our team what is the status here.

Hi @Ress could you please specify more details. What language are you learning? Could you please attach a screenshot where there is no translation. And about the google translation - there is no this option or it is, but doesn’t working?

It happens in different languages with the words which are relative rare. I suppose, such words which have no user LingQs yet. I see such problem in Esperanto, in Slavic languages, even in Spanish.

I gave 2 images to show how 2+ selected words display the whole phrase. Is it possible to show a translation the same way as for a phrase?
As I mentioned above, in Spanish the problem happens rarely, I suppose due to many user LingQs.

One more screenshot. This time in German, which has long words. The buttons on the right disappear if a word is too long.

Thank you for the screenshot, @Ress . This one is clear, we will fix it with time. You still can update the status, just swipe up the small popup to became a full-sized and there will be statuses at the bottom.

Thank you for screenshots, the problem is much clear now. However, I tried Esperanto and other not so popular languages and translations were loaded successfully. And actually the way translations work for phrases and the words are similar. So it is hard to understand why it fails to load for you. I assume maybe it is some sort of connection issue. How often does it happen? If you tap on this word one more time - will translation be displayed? And also what is your LingQ app version (open Settings in the LingQ app and scroll to the end)?
