This is a very interesting idea — definitely an improvement!

A few days ago, I started doing output practice with ChatGPT, and now being able to do it with LingQ is great.

I’d love to be able to ask Lynx to generate a short lesson using 10 words from the “Due for Review (SRS)” tab. From a compelling input perspective, this might not be the most natural way to create content — but it’s an interesting attempt to bridge meaningful input with spaced repetition, which works well for memory, but in my case, pure flashcards are super boring.

Maybe this doesn’t even have to be done directly through Lynx — it could be a separate feature or button on the Vocabulary page (or specifically in the Due/SRS tab). Technically, it should be simple to implement. I’ve done this manually many times myself — just copying 10 due words and asking ChatGPT to generate a short story or article that includes them. Having that built into LingQ would be a great step forward.

Also, voice recognition and live conversations with AI would be amazing. First, Lynx could help identify pronunciation mistakes, which is something learners often struggle to notice themselves. Second, having on-demand live interaction with AI would make speaking practice much more accessible — especially if it can integrate directly with LingQ lessons or imported content. That would be a huge leap forward.

Thanks again for the update — I really hope some of these ideas make it into release!

This is definitely the way. If you are able to integrate it more and more with our vocabulary in real time, and add new integrations, that would be fantastic. :+1:

I’m interested in this for web and Android.

Lynx is great. I asked it to explain a Japanese writing correction I received in a writing exchange. Since I was accessing Lynx through German at the time (I didn’t think to change the interface language to Japanese), the response was entirely in German. This behaviour is understandable, though I’m accustomed to other AIs, like ChatGPT, typically adapting to language shifts within a single chat session.

A key challenge I’ve encountered is with Japanese input in Lynx. My usual process involves typing phonetically, using the down arrow key to navigate kanji candidates, and then pressing Enter to confirm the selection. However, in Lynx, pressing Enter after selecting kanji immediately sends the message, resulting in a premature response. To properly confirm my kanji selection and continue typing the message, I’ve had to use Shift + Enter. Otherwise, I end up sending an incomplete phrase or sentence, which leads to Lynx providing a response that doesn’t fully address my intended question.

I’m unsure if this input behaviour can be addressed. Aside from this, I’ve found Lynx quite functional for general chat. I particularly appreciate the ‘suggested terms’ icon, which provides a helpful list of vocabulary. While my conversations have been relatively simple so far, I believe this feature would be even more useful if Lynx were to incorporate more advanced vocabulary. Thank you for the opportunity to try this.

Hi, I’d be interested in trying the Web version.

Please add me too, Thank you.

Will Lynx be included in our LingQ subscription or do we have to book it separately?

I’m interested in web now, and happy to test android as well when it’s ready.

Sounds very interesting.

Yes please, I’d like to try on web and android. I’m currently using AI more and more as an intergral part of my study routine so its a good try out for me.
