Here is an idea for future articles: the differences between 国语 and 普通话. It’s probably too early for it, but maybe something to keep in mind, especially considering that you did a lot of work on the phonetic aspects of the language, so I’m sure your ears are attuned to subtle differences. I’m sure you’re already familiar with the 两岸辞典 that shows differences in tones between the two: 息 - 兩岸萌典

I believe you speak mainly 普通话, will you switch to a Taiwanese accent since you’re there already? Also have you learned 注音 or plan to do it? Just curious.
