Is there a way to make Text to Speech take longer pauses between paragraphs?

Hi folks,

I’ve been playing around with editing lessons, and I’m finding the Text to Speech feature a little difficult to follow, as it leaves virtually no pause between sentences and paragraphs. The speed is fine otherwise, but I find it a little disconcerting when the book implies a long pause, but the TTS system acts as if the next paragraph starts immediately. Is there any way to force the TTS system to take longer pauses between sentences, and even longer pauses when there’s a new paragraph?

Thanks - Ian.

This is one I’ve asked for for a long time. Hopefully they can. Like you say, otherwise the TTS is pretty good. In the meantime, if you are using Edge, and using the browser you can open up the “print version” of the lesson (3 dot menu) and have Edge read it (they have a great selection of voices). Pauses between sentences…but you do end up outside of the LingQ reader to do so.

We’ll see what can be done here. Thanks for your feedback.
