Is it possible to edit a created Lingq? Can be useful in case of german separable verbs

Dear users,

I’d like to know if there is a way how to edit a created Lingq, e.g. in the infinitive form, instead of as a part of some longer phrase or a sentence.
For example a sentence - Ich hebe ihn auf. When I click on hebe, I see the different translations, e.g. one is aufheben. However even though I chose this one, in the vocabulary list remains hebe, with the translation of aufheben.
So to make it consistent, I can edit the created Lingq, into ausheben, and thus review it in the infinitive form, instead of this one.

there are also tags for different forms of that word, however they just open another window in Reverso, instead of creating a desired Lingq.

Thank you

As far as I can tell you can’t edit a LingQ-ed word. However, there should be a workaround which is actually quite simple:

Create your own lesson (import - lesson …) and type in the words that you want to create as LingQs.
Taking your example: You would type in ‘aufheben’ (and possibly other words where you might have a similar issue).
Then you open the lesson, create the desired LingQs and you should be fine.

When you come accross more words of that nature, you may edit you own created lesson and add those words.

I’m sorry that I am writing in the wrong place, but I have no idea how to use lingq and am even unable to post a request for instructions on the fora. How do I post an initial entry (as opposed to a response)? I did is a long time ago, but I don’t know how now.

Not sure if I understand what you are trying to do, but in the main page try going to “vocabulary”, “import vocabulary” and “import terms”, maybe that’s what you are looking for.

There is a “new topic” button on the upper right corner.

I am trying to post a question in the general-help or feedback forum. I don’t see a button labeled "new topic"on my screen.

Doesn’t this appear to you? It’s pretty much in the same place in the app.

How do I get to that view?

Just going to https://forum.lingq.com/ and it should already be visible, if it’s not there then there may be some issue with you device. Try contact through support@lingq.com if that’s the case.
