Who’s Glenn Beck? Is he a journalist-turned or preacher-turned comedian? We have politician-turned comedians in Japan. Glenn Beck - The New York Times
Glenn Beck is an author, speaker, opinion journalist, and radio talk show host. He has a program on the Fox News Channel. Although he is entertaining, he is serious in the content he reports. He is great!
I could never figure out why he is so popular. The few times I have seen him he seems more like a clown than a serious journalist.
“opinion journalist”?
“opinion journalist” is just another way of saying political commentator, and these people are useful and interesting, and the greater the variety of opinions the healthier for a society, in my view. I certainly listen to a lot of different “opinion journalists” on Echo Moskvi, and do read different commentators in my local newspapers. The greater the variety of views, the freer we are to form our own opinions, and express them, and of course we are free to like or dislike whomever we want. Long live differences of opinion!
Glenn Beck is to political commentary what Britney Spears is to music.
But, in both cases, that is your opinion, and others may have different opinions.
