I wonder if anyone on here is also frequenting chinese-forums.com? It has been offline every now and then, but recently it has been offline for almost 2 weeks in a row. I find this odd and frankly sad. Maybe the chief mod, Roddy, has some health issues, but strangely nobody seems to be talking about the fact that this arguably biggest forum related to Chinese is down.
I noticed that also and I haven’t seen any discussion online, which is odd. There is also no announcement or update from their Twitter account. The site has a static message they are looking for new hosting so hopefully its just a technical matter.
However, changing hosting provider also suggests to me it could be a financial issue, which I guess could take longer to resolve. I’m not sure how the site was funded, but overall there doesn’t seem to be much money to be made in Chinese learning these days.
