iPhone versus Android for language learning apps.?

I am considering purchasing a smart phone, but I don’t know if I should go with an iPhone or an Android. One factor in my decision will be the number of language learning apps available for the two systems. I am studying Korean, so there probably aren’t so very many apps on either system. Could somebody please give me your opinion or tell me your experiences with smart phones as a tool for language learning? I really need something I can download Anki and LingQ flash cards to.
Thanks for any advice.

iPhone. Not just because of the apps but they are far better built and easy to upgrade

Just forgot- there also many easy to find podcasts and audiobooks if there are no apps for your language. Apple customer service also surprisingly amazing.

For me the iPhone works best. I’ve been using it for a couple of years and have several language apps downloaded. It works every time.

I am a proud owner of the ipad an iphone and the selection of apps is amazing. I have also searched the android market, although there are apps out there the quantity cannot be compared.

You only have to search the itunes store on your computer so that you can guage if there are enough apps that catch your eye.

I have android on my Samsung Galaxy and I’m happy with that. Once I have more money, I’ll buy tablet or notebook from Samsung.

I have a HTC Desire with Android 2.2. I recommend Android and the Anki app.

It is also for many platforms. There are different versions for Windows, Apple, Linux etc… For PC or cellphones (IPhone/Android) etc…You can also synchronize between PC and cellphone for example.
In the next time it will be a lingq app available for android also. They are currently working on it.
