Iphone--listening to downloaded content in background when iphone goes black

I have downloaded some youtube content through the app.

It plays fine until the screen goes black which is after a minute or so. I also can’t listen in the car. Is there a setting somewhere that allows this?

I think you need to adjust your iPhone’s automatic lock timer. Standard setting would turn off the display after 1-2 mins without touch interaction to save battery.

As @roosterburton mentioned, this is something to do with your iPhone settings.

Go to your iPhone settings, scroll down until you see Battery, then check the Auto-Lock feature. I turned it off (Never).

I manually turn off the display by clicking the right button of the iPhone.
