I’m not seeing an option to hover and delete on mobile (IPhone XR). Is that only an option on the desktop version (I don’t use that)?
Thanks, looks like a bug on iOS. We’ll get that added.
Just wondering if any of the issues I reported above have been given some attention, so that I can go back and test them further. Thanks.
I can’t access the IOS Beta anymore…it says “LINGQBeta” Beta版已过期 (LINGQ Beta version has Expired/ran out of time) Do you know why?
LingQ v5.0.0 (16) - the same problems persist.
Audio listen-counts regularly show fractions, both above & below the correct integer. Oddly, it seems unrelated to the playback speed, since even x1 can result in similar errors. Pausing playback, then resuming later, may have an effect.
Q; How can users correct the (weird/wrong) listen-counts, manually or otherwise ?
LingQ v5.0.0 (16) - Clip & Playback ~ Questions.
How do Users -
(1). Download clips (with text & tracking) for Playback Later, while travelling etc.
(2). Set a default playback speed (eg. 1.25x) for all tracks. So we don’t need to adjust for each & every clip, every few minutes - which can be awkward.
/ Thx.
And most importantly is the IOS beta inaccessible and why haven’t they noticed yet?
Did you update to the latest version on TestFlight? It sounds like that could be the issue.
The fractions are coming from the new tracking in the iOS app. That same tracking is coming to all apps soon. It tracks actual listening time vs only tracking when you complete the audio file. This creates the fractional times you are seeing.
Any lessons you open up online and which have the audio downloaded will then play while offline. Look for the Downloaded indicator if unsure.
If you are referring to the Playlist, you should be able tap the Download indicator for any lessons which don’t have audio downloaded. If you can see the audio duration and there is no download indicator, that audio has already been downloaded.
The playback speed has to be set for each lesson. But, I think you are referring to the Playlist where it looks like the playback speed reverts to 1x every time a new track starts. We will get that fixed. Thanks.
Nothing so far. We’ve added a few things to the wishlist and will think about some others. Splitting of words is a tough one but we will continue working on it over time.
I did and it still says that.
I tried reinstalling that didn’t work either, researched online nothing has worked. I’m quite bummed at this point and I haven’t read as much as I would like in the past two days, I really enjoyed the dark mode of LINGQ 2.0. I Hopefully there is something I could do.
Have you updated to iOS 15? That is a requirement to run the beta app.
I did indeed this morning, still nothing I emailed support they said the same thing. To which I responded the same just now.
There’s not much we can do here I’m afraid. You’re the only person having this problem and the testing mechanism through Test Flight is out of our hands. It’s Apple’s tool. You can try deleting again and clicking on this link again Join the LingQ 5 Beta beta - TestFlight - Apple
Can you try Testflight.app → LingQ Beta → Stop Testing, then restart your device and re-join the beta with the original link?
If that doesn’t work, please email support from the v4 iOS app via Settings → App → Email Support and I’ll try to get you sorted out.
Tried this and it worked thanks my friend!!!
Thanks Mark for trying to help me this whole time by the way😊
