Since the latest updates, it has become impossible to use the dictionary shortcut D to access word definitions. The dictionary opens, but systematically translates the title of the lesson regardless of the word. I have checked and this happens with every dictionary. Right now, I have to click on each word with my finger or Bluetooth mouse on my ipad to access word definitions. I hope this can be fixed soon. Thanks.
Thanks for reporting, we will have it fixed.
Bug still needs fixing.
I’ll post an update here when I hear back from our team.
Hi @zoran, did you hear anything back? The shortcut is still broken and it’s taking much longer to go through a lesson because I have to manually click on the dictionary every time.
No updates yet, sorry. I’ll check again what is the status.
@zoran Do you know where we stand with this? It’s been broken for a month now and still no fix.
@SeoulMate We just tested this again on our end, and the “D” shortcut works fine. We can’t reproduce the issue and our iOS developer confirmed the issue existed but was fixed more than a month ago. Can you please check if you are on the latest app version?
@zoran Yes, I am on version 5.6.7 (1). As I said in my original post the dictionary opens when I press D on my Bluetooth keyboard (this has never been a problem), but instead of opening on the word I want, it will only open on the title or the first word of the lesson. So, no the issue is definitely not fixed and is the same regardless of the dictionary selected (NAVER, Daum). It was working fine until the update that was released about a month ago. I am learning Korean btw in case it’s an issue specific to that language.
Steps to reproduce:
- Use the ios app with a Bluetooth keyboard
- Open a lesson and click on a blue word in the lesson (but not the very first one)
- Press D on the keyboard to access the wanted definition
The dictionary keeps redirecting to the definition of either the first word of the lesson or the title of the lesson.
PS. I sent an email to support and attached a video to show the problem.
Thanks. I replied to your email.
