iOS app - loads of new bugs

I imported this YouTube video:

Bugs:

  1. I’m in line view, I task out to another app, then task back, and the current line shoots back to an earlier position. Happens with many videos.

  2. I am in video mode, and switch to line mode. It takes over one minute to do the switch.

  3. I am in text/page view and I click on a word. A pop up appears. It gives a summary. I want all definitions. It’s really slow and tedious to make all definitions appear. It would be quicker to use a paper dictionary or an online translator. So what purpose does LingQ serve?

  4. Do step 3. Then clear the dialogue. The system would hang for a minute before I could do anything new.

It is very annoying that such bugs are appearing in existing functionality and seriously reduces the benefit of using LingQ. Serious bugs have been appearing regularly over the last year if not longer. This isn’t even obscure functionality, it’s basic stuff. Clearly developers don’t test their changes before submitting them, and you don’t regression test prior to a release,

iOS app version5.5.49(0). Used on iPad 12.9”.

I agree. The app is hardly working now. It seemed to be improving in the last few days, but it has started crashing again with the most basic text functions. I’m not using video. I too have a large screen iPad. It’s a shame because the idea of Lingq is very good. If it worked consistently it would be great.
