We’re getting ready to roll out some of the most significant changes to the LingQ experience in years, and we’d love to involve more of the community in testing them before they’re released more widely.
The first major update will be a complete Library redesign, followed by a major Reader redesign. These changes will touch some of the core parts of the LingQ experience, so feedback from active users will be especially valuable as we refine them.
By joining the LingQ Beta Testers group, you’ll get an early look at upcoming changes and have a chance to share feedback, report issues, and help shape how these features develop.
If you’re interested in trying new versions of LingQ early and helping us make them better, we’d be very happy to have you in the group! This Beta Testers group will be indefinite, so you’ll always be ahead of other users in seeing new changes and features we push.
Respond here and we will add you. If you’re already part of the group, you should see the new version of the Library page already when you use LingQ on web. Android and iOS betas will follow soon, and the Reader redesign should be out closer to the end of the month.
Consider leaving a legacy mode after the major reader update you announced.
So that users will not suffer from unexpected bugs and a completely new UI that they are not accustomed to.
I’ve given feedback on LingQ updates before (mostly positive) and I’m happy to provide clear, accurate, and reasonable criticism when needed. I’ll do my best to keep any feedback succinct and useful.
I can take a part of the beta testing too. Usually always streaming LingQ everyday on YouTube so it will be nice to test it live for future users if they were to use it.
I’ll be interested. will there will be different links to the different versions or will it be automatic based on account. I will be doing a lot of listening next few months, will there be improvements to the playlist audio section ?
As I do not have access to the link you provided, I would like to make my first suggestion here. As this change is new, I think it might be part of the beta.
Previously, when I finished a lesson, I could return directly to the home page by clicking on the LingQ logo in the top left-hand corner. Now, the left-hand sidebar opens, preventing me from returning quickly to the home page. To be honest, I’d like to say that I’m not happy with this new change. I hope the logo that allows us to return directly to the home page will be added back.
