Incorrect daily counts

When I opened LingQ on my computer in Firefox this morning, I was greeted by the following dialogue box:

Whow!

@LuPeng Are you saying that you didn’t actually earn 820 coins?

@zoran Yes, that’s right. I started up my computer in the morning, opened Firefox (Developer Edition on W11), went to lingq.com and immediately received this message. The day before, I had listened to a playlist on my mobile, but that was long before the end of the day.

Perhaps it was your score for yesterday (a last day). I use Firefox too and that was happend to me too. The coin counter works correctly, so you got a message from last day

No, unfortunately not: at the end of the day, I had just under 1,000, which would have been correct with minus 820. The other values for the previous days are also correct.

Do you use playlists by chance? Is there any chance you left something playing either on desktop or mobile without realizing?

It must be something along those lines, especially since I seem to be the only one here to whom this has happened (and only once so far!). It remains a mystery, as I listened to the playlist on the afternoon of the previous day and did not use my mobile afterwards. However, the points achieved on the previous day are entirely plausible. If the playlist had simply continued playing, this number would also have to be higher. But it is not. Okay, if this happens again, I’ll get back to you. Thanks to everyone for your input.

@LuPeng Thanks for the detailed explanation and update here. Please let me know if you notice the same problem again.
