I succeeded in importing a YouTube video today.
Maybe it took about 3 weeks. I’m really glad to have fixed it.
I want to thank the developers!

Hopefully YouTube importing will work properly now, we pushed a fix for this,
Great news. Well done fixing it.
Unfortunately it is not working yet for me. 2 video’s failed again today.
Not working for me either…frustrating…
Did you import all these videos today?
I imported several videos today, none of them work. For example: Heb je zin? - season 1 (level 0/A1/A2) - YouTube
I use Microsoft Edge on my Mac, the LingQ Importer extension version is 2.2.3.
Yep, almost all of them…
Same here. Total failure… and I pay for this…
Tried again last night…logged out and then back into LingQ just in case something might get updated. Deleted all of the failure to load videos in the Pending Lessons tab just in case there was something conflicting. Tried to upload to separate videos, one for German and another for Spanish. Both took forever to process but ultimately failed.
This was fixed weeks ago, but for the last week or two only human-transcribed YouTube videos are working for me with the import extension on my browser again. Going through the regular import method isn’t working either.
I still have to download the audio manually from YouTube and create an imported lesson that way. It works but is much less convenient.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a permanent fix, but from the way people are talking that would require YouTube doing something on their end as well.
It is still failing. This is one of the reasons that I cannot recommend LingQ to inquiring language-learning friends. Even on those YT imports that do work, you need to be a technical type of person to get an audio track. Most people I know don’t have those skills. And don’t get me started on the lack of communication from this company.
Still not working for me either… Maybe one in ten works… It’s overly frustrating to spend the time trying to import content only to have it fail.
I’d like to spend my time concentrating on learning, not fussing with a program trying to get it to work - especially when I’m paying for the feature that’s now wasting all this time.
I am very sorry to hear you all are still having issues. I’ll continue forwarding this to our developers.
