I am trying to import a video from YouTube on my iPad but all it seems to import is the url and not the actual content.
from you tube I am clicking … share, then selecting LingQ. I enter a title and click save. It tells me the import was successful and asks if I want to open it. When I do then as I say I only see the url.

Are you sure the video you are trying to import have available subtitles in your study language?
Instead for trying to import it through “Share” on YouTube, head to Import page on LingQ app directly, then just copy-paste YouTube video link there and try importing it Let me know if that works.
