I have been using the Czech site to import Amharic into LingQ. I had no problems until this morning, when my text imported with no spaces between the words or the sentences. These spaces were present in the Word document I copied the text from. This lack of spaces makes LingQ totally useless for my purposes.

Since Amharic isn’t a supported language, we can’t guarantee that it will work properly.
However, in this case it sounds like this has to do with the formatting of the original text, as nothing has changed on this page in the last while. Try running the text through Notepad to see if that helps.
I’ve had this problem with quick imports in Swedish. If it happens again, I’ll try to give a better diagnosis.
