Importing content behind the paywall

I just bought the annual subscription for Le Figaro (French) https://www.lefigaro.fr/ But when I try to import an article, only the part in public access (non payable / free of charge) is imported. So what I got to do is just copy manually all the text from the website and paste it to LingQ. Is there any other solution for that cause that’s kind of cumbersome? I see the question was already posted https://forum.lingq.com/t/french-newspaper-wont-let-me-import-full-article/35785 2 years ago but no real solution was proposed.

You can use this free browser extension to import the entire page or snippets to a new or existing lesson. Just need to highlight selected and can import to your lesson via keybind or button.

What is the difference to simple plain copy&paste like I described?

Basically not much we can do on our end. These paid sites simply don’t allow full articles to be imported through the extension, even if you are a subscriber to their site.

But why? The text is presented on the page. Why can’t the LingQ-Extension just grab it?

Because it’s not allowed, they have protection that doesn’t allow full text to be grabbed.

Hi @Ewgenijkkg !
You can try to import the highlighted text directly by selecting the text and clicking on the Extension.
