Import has become error prone

Here are two URLs that will not import either from iOS or a web browser. What’s going on? It’s been a while since I have seen this error. And previously if the YT would not import from the phone, it would import from the web browser.

7/29 Episode of Current Time from Radio Freedom

A very short commentary

Other YT videos are importing, but not these two – tested over two days. What is it about these two that prevent you from importing as a new Russian lesson?

Important note: most videos continue to import. What is it about these two that prevent import?

In my experience most fail to import, but that’s just my experience! A different error message though.

Fortunately most work for me. I’m curious why they don’t for you.

Sorry to hear that. So far, it’s just those two. What I prefer to do anyway is to download the audio myself and then create my own lesson from the audio. Seems to work consistently. There are tools to download YouTube like YT Saver - or I use VB-Cable to pipe output from YouTube into the Quicktime Player on my MAC, safe the recording and once again create a lesson from the audio.

Thanks, we are investigating issues related to YT importing.

They import, but then the transcription fails to complete. Almost every long import fails, especially from ARTE which has really clear French. Sometimes an import completes, but the transcription is nonsense.
