From the messages I’ve read in this forum I think it unlikely that this problem can be fixed once and for all. So I’m just documenting this case. I’m a retired programmer.
I imported S1:E1 of Fauda from Netflix. The import beginning matched the video beginning for Arabic and Russian subtitles. The import for Hebrew subtitles doesn’t have the beginning. It picks up much later in the episode. I have not identified the time mark. It includes references to “Doron,” an important character who is not in the opening scenes. I took screenshots.
Method: For Hebrew and Russian in Netflix I chose the original audio. (This is labeled as “Hebrew” but it includes both Hebrew and Arabic.) For Arabic I chose “Arabic (Palestinian)” as the audio.
In each case I went to the very beginning of the video and then did the import using the LingQ importer extension that I installed just a few days ago, into Edge. In each case I imported into LingQ for the subtitle language I had chosen - Hebrew, Arabic, or Russian.
The imported Arabic and Russian both correctly started from the very beginning of the video. Hebrew did not - it is dialog from much later.
Windows 11 PC, up to date. Edge, up to date. Newly installed extension.
I took screenshots and the imports are in my LingQ account.
