I'd love to be able to check different grammatical forms of the same word

Just a thought about an additional feature that I would love to see on LingQ. I think it would be quite easy to add, as it’s not far from the AI translation which has already been implemented.

Let’s say you’re a total beginner and don’t know much about grammar yet. You already know the word “speak”, but you don’t know yet that it’s an irregular verb. Or you know the word “child”, but you would never expect its plural form to be “children” rather than “childs”. Would it be possible to check, next to the translation, a table of different grammatical forms of the word, so that you could already start getting the gist of what’s regular and what’s not? This would be SO useful for languages with complex grammar, irregular verbs, noun declension patterns, etc.

There are dictionaries that do just that, use wordreference.
Here’s the word that you’ve just selected:

Press F on your keyboard, that’ll select the first dictionary from the list below, ie wordreference (or any other, you can rearrange them)

Here you get all the information that you wanted in this pop-up window, though admittedly not every language has a dictionary like this.

Thanks for the tip! However, while it works very well with languages like French, due to relatively small amount of grammatical forms that just get mixed depending on the use, unfortunately it doesn’t work that well with Greek, which I am studying. Here every infinitive can have several different forms, depending on the aspect, mood, etc. (and that’s before you even begin talking about tenses!) and don’t even get me started on declension patters for different families of nouns! Your solution works perfectly fine when the word in question is an infinitive or nominative, but on the moment I am checking anything specific, like a specific case of noun or specific tense of a verb, very often it just says “Wiktionary does not yet have an entry for xxx” and “No English translation found for xxx” in WordReference. Occasionally it will tell me that this is the xxx case of the xxx noun and then I can click on it, go to the main page of the word and then click again to see the declension or conjugation table. But that’s many clicks to do and it usually doesn’t work as smooth as that.

I am using another website that has implemented very useful additional AI explanations, so with one click it tells me something like “this is an accusative case of the plural of the word xxx”. I would love to see a similar feature here, together with optional declension and conjugation tables, which would speed up things so much!
