Hi, I’m enjoying using LingQ very much. But I have one thing that I hope I modify about the setting. I am not aiming to use LingQ everyday because I also study with other materials, and I am often busy. Every time I open LingQ, it says that you lost coins or lost streak or something… it demotivates me. I don’t care about streak, I just would like to enjoy using LingQ. Id like to begin the day’s learning feeling happy and motivated. I’d appreciate it if I could turn off the notification to tell about losing my streak.
You can disable “Streak and milestones popups” under Settings > Reader.
Hi Zoran, thank you for reply. Actually, I have already disabled “Streak and milestones popups” on both my PC and Android. However, when I open a link after losing my streak, a popup appears on both devices. I’d appreciate it if you would teach me the solution to this.
That’s strange, sounds like a bug, we will look into it.
@zoran This is also the case for me on the iOS app. I would love to disable the streak scolding for the same reasons as the OP.
It’s the same for me on Google Chrome (Windows) from the start. IIRC I asked basically the same question and the response was that this is how it is working.
EDIT: I was wrong. The reply was “We will look into that” (of course it was, my bad).
