What is meaning of the word “underdog”
An underdog is someone who might not have the best chances of winning (usually related to sports). A team might be an “Underdog” if they are playing a better skilled soccer team and there chances of winning are low. In such cases, alot of people cheer for the underdog because its fun and cool if they manage to pull of a win.

The underdog is the loser or predicted loser in a struggle or contest or a victim of injustice or persecution according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary.
