I have finally decided I will focus on Arabic and Portuguese but mostly Portuguese. Wish me luck!

Since you are just starting this journey, you will likely find yourself getting more and more drawn to the Portuguese (or the Arabic) and find yourself focusing more and more on just one language. That is natural, normal, and healthy. And you’ll probably make faster progress.

Nice! What made you decide those two languages?
I’m really interested in what is currently going on in Arabic speaking countries and their history. For Portuguese, I don’t know. I feel a connection with the language if that makes sense.

Great choices, good luck! There is even a tiny amount of vocabulary crossover between the two. Some Portuguese words beginning with al, such as alface (lettuce), come from Arabic.
