I want to downgrade my account because I’ve been very busy these days. I have a plan to restart LingQ when I’m free.
So I deleted my unshared lessons until below the limit. I tried to downgrade my account…
But it still sent me the message of " To downgrade you must have fewer than 5 imported unshared lessons. Delete imported unshared lessons until you are below this limit then downgrade again."
I have only 2 private lessons now.
How can I downgrade my account?
@chamy7 - It looks like you still have 23 private lessons - you can see this number on the Account page. What we can do is manually clear your imports then downgrade your account for you. Let us know if you’d like us to go ahead and do this.
I think those 21 lessons are on archived list. It’s strange because I already deleted those lessons yesterday.
This is the way I tried yesterday.
First of all, I moved 21 private lessons to achieved list. I thought it was the same way as “delete lessons”. Then I still got the message and I was not able to downgrade. So I deleted my private lessons on achieved list. But those lessons are still there.
Oh…I tried to delete those lessons on archived list once more today and I can downgrade my account now! Thanks.
But now I got the message “Your account has been cancelled. We are sorry to see you go. Please help us improve LingQ by filling out this small survey and telling us why you cancelled. Thank you for using LingQ and good luck in your language learning!”
Why? I can see my account and I am a free membership now. Is it OK? I wanted to be free membership, not cancel my account.
@chamy7 - Did you click the link at the bottom to cancel your account? There is a warning there saying that your account will be canceled and asking you to confirm. It seems your account wasn’t canceled completely – did you receive an email confirming your account was canceled?
